Found abandoned and scared after abuse left her permanently blind, she spent days hiding in my bathroom, wary of every sound. But with patience and Mattewis’s gentle guidance, she’s become a confident queen, navigating my UAE home with quiet grace. Her black-and-white coat and pink collar make her a standout, and I love watching her explore.

Here’s how Lafienja spends her Saturdays, showing me (and you) a simple way to unwind:

Morning Karak & Cuddles: I kick off my weekend with a cup of karak tea—sweet, spiced, and a UAE staple. Lafienja, sporting her pink collar, settles nearby, purring softly as the steam rises. She can’t see the tea, but she senses its warmth and leans in for a pat. No karak where you are? Coffee or cocoa works just as well—Lafienja’s all about the vibe.




Nap Nirvana: Lafienja’s go-to nap spot is her window perch, a cushioned hammock bed I found on Amazon that’s perfect for her. She’s currently lounging on her beige premium set perch with suction cups, stretching out to catch the breeze. You can spot her calm contentment in the photo! She also loves my bed’s white duvet or the couch next to Mattewis, mapping her world by sound and scent.
